T-shirtIf you’ve pre-registered for an event, be sure to stop by at the Kickoff event at noon on the Monteith Research Center (MRC) Plaza on Oct. 12th to pick up your shirt in advance. A limited number of shirts have been printed, so those who do not pre-register are NOT guaranteed of receiving a shirt.

Event Descriptions1 Mile Fun Walk (Monday, 12:15pm & Thursday, Noon) – Enjoy a leisurely walk that takes you around Lake Raleigh and affords spectacular views of the Lonnie Poole Golf Course and the Park Alumni Building. Start time is 12:15pm on Monday, and noon on Thursday.
5K Run (Tuesday, Noon) – Competitive run on a certified 5K course. Start/Finish line located in front of MRC building plaza. Start time is noon.
Kayaking (Tuesday, 5pm) – Want to try a kayak and see what all the excitement is about? Whether you have never paddled before, or you are a beginner looking to improve your skills, come join us for an afternoon of paddling on Lake Raleigh. We will cover the parts of the boat, safety equipment, paddle strokes, and then paddle around the lake. Plan on paddling from 5pm until about 6:30pm. Please bring a water bottle, swimsuit, and shoes/sandals that you can strap down (no flip-flops). Limit 10 people.
Disc Golf (Wednesday, 11am – 1pm) – Whether you’re an expert or a novice, this course offers a great venue to sharpen your skills and learn the game. Come experience Centennial Campus’ newest recreational space. Campus Recreation and local Disc Golf players will be on hand to give out pointers on how to play and use the course. Come and try Disc Golf!
Canoeing (Wednesday, Noon & 12:30pm) – Enjoy a relaxing paddle around Lake Raleigh. Search for wildlife or just enjoy being on the water. All ability levels welcomed. Two sessions: noon and 12:30pm. Limit: 10 people per session.
Group Bike Ride (Thursday, Noon) – Join campus recreation cycling instructors for an enjoyable bike ride around Centennial Campus and the greenway. The ride will begin at noon in front of MRC building plaza. All ability levels are encouraged to join. Please remember to bring water and a helmet is required; cue sheets and maps will be provided.
Guided Nature Walk (Friday, 11:30am & 12:30pm) – Join a wildlife educator for a half-mile walk along the Centennial Campus Greenway. Event starts at the Wildlife Resources building, 1751 Varsity Drive, and finishes at the Lake Raleigh fishing pier. Along the way, discover various wildlife habitats and identify common plants and animals. Two sessions: 11:30 and 12:30. Limit: 20 people per session.
